Situated in teh Genil valley, between Cordoba and Seville, we find the monumental and historical town of ecija, Know as the "Town of Towers and Sun". The view on its towers and belfries, palaces and streets, together with the hoy of its friendly people, results particularly delightful to the visitor. It was with this town that the Armentas forged deeply rooted ties in the passage of time, and where they and theri work gained great prestige both in and outside the town.

In the 18th century, the town of Ecija basically lived on agriculture and cattle bredding. Consequently, the Armenta family was strongly linked to the production of farming implemens and harnesses necessary for the field work and animal draft.

At present, this bond has expanded to the equestrian business of Ecija being the renown cradle of thoroughbred

Spanish, Arabian and, Anglo-Arabian horses. Exceptional examples of horse-breeding have gained world-wide reputation to ecija, hand in hand with the Armenta saddle fittings.
